Dr. Thurman Fleet, Part 2

Dr. Thurman Fleet, Part 2

I will now continue to talk about Dr. Thurman Fleet. After Dr. Fleet started his practice he was known for his meticulous note taking. As people came in to be treated for a variety of issues, he would write down what treatment he performed and how the patient responded. After  awhile he began to notice that two people with the same issue did not respond in the same way. One patient would become better while the other person would continue with the same issue. As this kept happening he decided to shut down his practice until he could find an answer. According to his life story, written by his son George Fleet, he spent time reading and studying to find out why. He found that very often that if a person changed how they thought they could get better. I know people who all they have to do is think "sick" and they become sick. So if this is true, if a person thinks "well" they can become well. He also stated that some illnesses are viral and have to be treated in that manner, but he discovered a pattern of "thinking" that if applied could change your life in a variety of areas - not just medical. To describe this new way of thinking he created a simple drawing of a Stickperson to show the process. That I will discuss next.
